The trainer

Lucia Diaconescu is a Senior Language Trainer and Mentor and has been working for IH Bucharest since 2015. Among her qualifications are the IH Certificate in Teaching Languages, the IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers, the IH Teacher Training Certificate, as well as The IH Certificate in Advanced Methodology. She has been teaching for 12 years now, both in state schools and International House Bucharest. She has been teaching learners of all ages and levels as well as providing a number of training sessions on Error Correction, Student Assessment, Learning Styles and of course Vocabulary. She has recently become a mentor as well and she is providing new teachers with all the necessary support and training required. At the moment, Lucia is thinking about obtaining her DELTA Certificate as well as becoming an online course tutor. She is passionate about meeting new people, learning new things and her interests include discovering new places, socializing with friends and learning Turkish, which proves to be a great challenge.

This workshop will help you easily plan your next vocabulary lesson in a fun and engaging manner. We will not only go through some of the things we need to pay attention to as teachers when we teach new words and expressions, but you will also have the opportunity to take home with you a great number of games and activities that students enjoy a lot during lessons.
