Elena Bran

Elena is a senior teacher of English, mentor and CELTA tutor, holding both a Ph.D. in literature and the DELTA qualification. Over the last 18 years, she has taught a variety of Cambridge exam preparation classes, business English classes and ESP medical English university courses and seminars.
Throughout her career, she has experienced different teaching approaches and has manifested an active interest in exploring lots of course designs, teaching practice delivery or ways to make lessons more engaging for the students and the teachers. Her main qualities as a mentor and trainer include adaptability, supportiveness, her ability to provide supportive feedback and to encourage self-reflection. She is also passionate about school psychology and developmental psychology as part of an inclusive teaching approach.
In her free time, she enjoys physical activities like hiking and swimming, or even simple walks and spending time with friends and family, watching movies, or engaging in mindfulness practices in order to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
