Simple versus Continuous. Present Perfect. Conditionals. Spoken in a low voice, these words can summon forth the worst demons of the language classroom, and can make even the most confident teacher tremble in fear. But there is a way to understand all of these aspects of language the right way, either through metaphor and analogy, or by considering what each one truly represents. In this session, we will look at these three much-maligned areas of English grammar, with the hope being that you will never live in fear of a grammar lesson again.

He has a master's degree in Applied Linguistics & TESOL from the University of Leicester, and has worked in EFL for over a decade.
