About CELTA

CELTA stands for “Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults”. It is the original certificate course in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) or teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), and it has been running for four decades. It is highly respected and recognized globally, with 7 out of 10 employers worldwide asking applicants to have it.

    This is a highly practical and interactive session in which we will look at some popular educational technology tools and important points to bear in mind when planning lessons using technology. Most of the activities demonstrated can be used with learners age 11 and above, though adaptations for younger learners for some of the activities will also be suggested.

     

    Lucie Cotterill

     


    Director of Innovation at IH Reggio Calabria, and Director of Studies Co-ordinator for IH World. She has taught from very young learners to adults, including large classes in state schools, for almost 20 years and is also a tutor on the IH Certificate in Online Tutoring course and a local tutor for DELTA Module 2. She is also a teacher trainer and has given talks at conferences such as IATEFL.In her free time, Lucie loves puns, puzzles and long walks in the countryside.
