About CELTA

CELTA stands for “Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults”. It is the original certificate course in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) or teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), and it has been running for four decades. It is highly respected and recognized globally, with 7 out of 10 employers worldwide asking applicants to have it.

    Are you teaching teens in hybrid lessons and wondering how to engage them more or make the most of their participation? Come along to this webinar and look at how I’ve been doing it for the last 3 months. I’ll be sharing ideas which have been tried and tested in my classrooms and also across our organisation. You should be able take and adapt them and if you’ve tried them all already, you will be able to see them from a different perspective!

     

    Robert Martínez has worked in the field of English Language teaching and teacher training in Colombia, Italy, The UK, Canada, Singapore, Egypt, Spain, Bulgaria, Vietnam and Romania since 1994.

    He speaks Italian and Spanish at C2 level, French and Portuguese at B1 level and is currently the Director at Lacunza IH Beasain where he is also a teacher trainer and teacher. During his career he has trained teachers in many countries, assessed and moderated Cambridge Teaching Awards and Exams all over the world, presented for Cambridge in Italy, taken part in teacher training programmes and provided consultancy for teachers of English as a foreign language.

    He is particularly interested in language learning and technology and holds the DELTA, TheConsultants-e Trinity-validated CertICT (Distinction), a Post Graduate Dip in TESOL, an MA TESOL (Merit), an MA Digital Technologies for Language Teaching (Double Distinction) and a Post Graduate Dip in Academic Management (Distinction). He is Lead tutor on the the TheConsultants-e.com CertICT, CertIBET, Teaching Live Online and E-moderation courses, and also tutors on the IH Online Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teens and is currently completing a series of MOOCS on FutureLearn!
