    Carturesti Verona

On 14 February 2019 between 9.30am and 11.30am the Educational Department of Cărtureşti Verona Bookshop and International House Bucharest (IHB) jointly organised a workshop titled Young Learner (YL) Motivation Toolbox – engaging students from primary to pre-teens”. The workshop was aimed at teachers of English to YLs and it focused on a range of activities designed to engage particularly teenage students and enhance learner participation, while it also shared methods to better prepare students for the Cambridge speaking exams, such as role play and improvisation games.

The trainer who facilitated the workshop was Ms Teodora Manole, Senior Language Trainer and Mentor at IHB, who has been with the school since 2010. A holder of the IH Certificate in Teaching Languages, as well as the IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers, Ms Manole is currently completing a DELTA course leading to the highest teaching qualification available in the world. Besides teaching, her role at IHB includes providing guidance and support in her capacity as mentor to junior teachers, and delivering teacher training and professional development sessions to fellow trainers.
